Relationship Officer- Mortgage


Job Description :
Reporting to Head of Sales, Consumer Banking, and the position is responsible for driving profitable business growth through Branch Catchment Optimization team incorporating the full range of consumer banking asset products offered and managing a team of in house direct sales executives/ officers to optimize surrounding catchment area of Branch. Would be responsible for acquisition of products like Savings accounts, Current accounts and Fixed deposits through the in-house direct sales force. (S)He would also be responsible for generating sales for Personal Loan, Credit Card, and other consumer Banking products as and when launched. The person would also be responsible for territory mapping, monitoring productivity levels, organizing sales promotions, monitoring competition activity, development of subordinates.

Job Description:

Planning, directing and management of Mortgage Relationship with the strategic alliances to acquire new business and deepen existing relationship for building strong franchise and continuous business generation through referral based new business vertical.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • To achieve set targets in terms of Mortgage Sales volume & number of loans derived against a specific channel function assigned for referral based sales.
  • To increase the customer base of the home loan portfolio.
  • To achieve revenue target of Value Centre specifically relating to new vertical contribution 
  • Control over Cost and maintain cost income ratio.
  • To develop Mortgage Sales Strategies engaging specific alliance partners. 
  • Real estate developer market Penetration
  • To build strong franchise value with the alliance partner 
  • To ensure that effective process and controls are in place with clear responsibility and accountability for the prevention of money laundering, mis-selling, mis-representation, fraud and customer protection in line with Group policy and local legal and regulatory requirements.
  • To monitor the conversion of applications sourced from the alliance partners
    To ensure that unethical/illegal practices are discouraged and discipline in the team is maintained Develop, maintain and where applicable, roll-out procedures and controls that meet the requirement of Group Policy, Group standards and local laws and regulations.

Qualification & Skills:

  • Should be a Graduate, preferably with a management degree.
  • Should be able to speak fluent English and Bangla.
  • Should have a good knowledge of local banking regulations.
  • Should have a good knowledge of SCB retail products.
  • Should have basic PC skills (word processing and spreadsheet).
